Conference Carolinas Announces New Digital Magazine With Inaugural Issue

HIGH POINT, N.C.- Conference Carolinas unveiled the first issue of their Playmaker digital magazine on October 18, 2013. Spencer Frantom, from King University, was the first feature story for Playmaker.

The magazine is an in-depth look at Conference Carolinas that includes: a special feature story on one of the conference student-athletes, news, and up-coming games to watch. Playmaker issues are distributed via email as well as posted to the Conference website the first of the month starting on Friday, November 1st.

In order to highlight the accomplishments of student-athletes within the conference, Playmaker will provide a feature-story with each issue. Athletes were selected based off of their skill not only in their sports, but also in the classroom and community. Playmaker looks to draw attention to the individual accomplishments of each of these student-athletes and their respective institutions.

Spencer Frantom, a cross-country runner from King University, will be the first month’s feature story. Frantom, a senior, has already set records at King University on the cross-country team and the track team. Frantom discusses his motivations for the sport and his goals as he heads into post-season competition.

The online magazine also provides readers with a look at conference news and up-coming events. A “What to Watch For” section provides fans with the latest on up-coming games for in season sports. The digital magazine will also include a small section addressing conference news and a leader board for sport stats leaders.
