Saints Finish No. 31 in Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, Highest in School History June 8, 2015 GAFFNEY, S.C. -- For the fifth consecutive year Limestone athletics has improved its standing in the final rankings of the annual Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, this time making the jump all the way to No. 31 for the school's best ever finish. The Saints racked up 425.50 points in the 2014-15 Division II standings to pace the Conference Carolinas and finish second in the southeast region.
Trojan Head Men's Volleyball Coach David Heller Selected To Team USA Coaching Staff For World University Games June 5, 2015 University of Mount Olive head men's volleyball coach David Heller has been selected as an assistant coach for Team USA at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea. The men's volleyball competition at The Games takes place July 4-12. The team will begin training later this month at the USA Volleyball National Team Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Sean Manzi Named Head Men’s Volleyball Coach At Belmont Abbey College June 5, 2015 Belmont Abbey Athletics Director Stephen Miss has announced the hiring of Sean Manzi as the second head coach for the Crusaders men's volleyball program. In addition to his men's head coaching position, he will also serve as the assistant coach for the Crusaders women's volleyball program.
Pfeiffer Adds Hall of Famer Sherrill to Guide Softball Program June 5, 2015 MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer VP for Athletics Bob Reasso has announced the hiring of Pfeiffer Sports Hall of Famer and storied high school coach Monte Sherrill to lead the Pfeiffer softball program. Sherrill was a standout baseball player during his time in Misenheimer (1983-87) and has a career high school coaching record of 753-60, while garnering the 2014 MaxPreps National High School Coach of the Year award.
