Lees-McRae’s Galvani Earns Men's Soccer Player of the Week Award

High Point, N.C.> Lees-McRae’s James Galvani has been
selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men’s
soccer Player of the Week during week number six in the 2011
season. Galvani, a sophomore from High Wycombe, England paced the
Bobcats to a 2-0 worksheet last week, scoring three goals and
tallying one assist. On Tuesday, he notched the first goal of the
match against Carson-Newman before providing the assist on the
winner three minutes later. Galvani then led the Bobcats to a
pivotal 2-1 win over Queens on Saturday, scoring a pair of
masterful goals for his first brace of the season. The 6-3,
175-pound forward currently leads the team with four goals, three
assists, and 11 points. The Bobcats now stand at 7-3 overall and
4-1 in league play.
