CONFERENCE CAROLINAS ANNOUNCES GOLF PLAYERS OF THE MONTH

Queens’ Wennerlund Named Women's Golf Player of the Month

High Point, N.C. – Queens’ Julia Wennerlund has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Player of the Month during the month of October. Wennerlund performed well for the month of October turning in a 4.375 stroke average after two tournaments. In the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, Wennerlund shot a fifth best 153 helping her team to a seventh place finish in the 21 team field. Later in the month she fired a 160 at the Patsy Rendelman Invitational helping her team capture the fifth place spot.

King’s Bamberger Named Men's Golf Player of the Month

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  Thursday, November03, 2011

 

High Point, N.C. – King College’s Josh Bamberger has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Player of the Month during the month of October. Bamberger, a senior from Waterloo, Ontario, helped the Tornado men's team win two of its three October golf tournaments placing in the top-25 in all three events and inside the top-3 two out of three tournaments. His best single round performance came on Day Two of his home tournament when he had a six-stroke improvement from the first round and stormed back into the top-5 for a second place finish and a first place team finish. Overall, Bamberger also helped the Tornado to a third season win back in September in their first tournament of the season.
