North Greenville’s Braddock Earns Men's Soccer Player of the Week Award

High Point, N.C.> North Greenville University's Justen Braddock has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's soccer Player of the Week during week number five in the 2011 season. Braddock, a junior goalkeeper from Columbia, SC, led the Crusaders to two more wins in conference play, extending their win streak to three games in a row and moving the team into a tie for second place in the conference standings. In game one of the week, Braddock recorded a season-high nine saves against Erskine College as he faced 14 shots, 10 of which were shots on goal, while allowing just one goal as NGU defeated the Flying Fleet 2-1. In the week's second game, Braddock allowed just one goal and saved six shots as Queens fired 17 shots, seven on goal, toward the keeper as NGU won 2-1 in overtime. The Crusaders now stand at 5-4 overall and 4-2 in league play.
