High Point, N.C.> Barton College’s Ericka Skinner has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's cross country Runner of the Week during week number two in the 2011 season. Sophomore Ericka Skinner won her first collegiate race on Friday, capturing the 22nd UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational women's crown leading Barton College to a 4th place finish out of 11 teams. Skinner was directly ahead of seven consecutive DI runners to seize her first collegiate victory. Skinner's victory helped the Bulldogs defeat all other DII institutions in the field including Coker, Pfeiffer, St. Andrews, Francis Marion and Shaw.
