GAFFNEY, S.C. –
Three members of the Limestone women's lacrosse program have been
selected to take part in the 2012 IWLCA Senior North/South All-Star
Game in Downington, Pennsylvania on Saturday, June 16 following a
tremendous campaign. Senior goal keeper
Brigid
Milchling (Cockeysville, Md.) and senior attack
Racquel
Prager (Seaford, N.Y.) have been selected to the playing
roster while Saints head coach
Scott
Tucker has been chosen to lead the squad.
Named to the IWLCA All-South Region Team and All-Conference
Carolinas First-Team, Milchling went 16-2 in 19 games and starts
with a 7.26 goals against average and 117 saves in over 950 minutes
of action. Her 16 wins tied for the third most in a single season
and gave her 39 for her career, tying her for the most in program
history. Her goals against average was second in the nation,
trailing only Kelly Fucillo of No. 1 Le Moyne by just 0.12 per
game.
For Prager, she adds to the many accomplishments throughout her
career, including IWLCA First-Team All-American, IWLCA All-South
Region, All-Conference Carolinas First-Team and Conference
Carolinas All-Tournament honors this season. In her final season in
the Blue and Gold, Prager erupted for a program record 71 goals,
tied the single season point mark of 91 and fell just one goal
short of tying the all-time career mark of 191.
Tucker guided Limestone to a 17-2 overall record, perfect 6-0
Conference Carolinas record and regular season championship,
Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship and the program's
fifth straight NCAA Division II Tournament. This season he was also
named Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year for the sixth time in
his career.
The game will take place at the Champion's Cup at the United Sports
Training Center in Downington, Pa. on Saturday, June 16 and will
precede the IWLCA All-American banquet, which will take place at
the Radisson Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa. later that
evening.
