High Point, NC – Conference
Carolinas Women’s Golf Coaches have voted the University of
Mount Olive as the top women’s golf team coming into the 2014
season.
University of Mount Olive enters the spring season ranked No. 47
in the Golfstat Division II Women’s Golf National Rankings
and No. 33 in the Golf World/NGCA Division II Women's Golf Poll.
The Trojans competed in four tournaments during the fall and earned

King University Invitational.
Sophomore Julie Loennechen finished fifth out of 92 golfers at
the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate and tied for 22nd out of 96
golfers at the Saint Leo University Invitational, which included
eight national top 25 teams, including four ranked in the top 10.
Loennechen was named to the 2013 All-Conference Carolinas
Women’s Golf Second Team as a freshman.
Joining Loennechen on the Trojans’ roster are seniors
Sarah Baniszewski and Emy Ohling, a 2011 All-Conference Carolinas
selection. Junior Stefany King and freshmen Anne Barboteau and
Lovisa Tillstrom round out the roster.
Head coach Chip Spiron has been named Conference Carolinas
Women’s Golf Coach of the Year in each of the last three
years.
After an impressive fall campaign, the Limestone women’s
golf team has been selected to finish second in the Conference
Carolinas preseason coaches’ poll. The young Saints,
currently ranked No. 21 in Division II, are led by a pair of
“veteran” returnees in sophomores Hannah Luckett and
Taylor McInnis.
Luckett, McInnis and senior Shelby Wolff give newly named head
coach Zack Siefert a strong trio at the top to go along with
standout freshmen such as Noelia Cortes, Sydney Landreth and
Brittany LaPadula.
The King University women's golf team has been picked to finish
third in the Conference Carolinas standings during the spring 2014
