Conference Carolinas Placed Four Basketball Teams in Southeast Top 10

High Point, NC- The NCAA released their first regional standings on Wednesday, February 19, which included four Conference Carolinas schools featured within the top 10 for the Southeast region.

Conference Carolinas men’s basketball saw two teams make the top eight. Mount Olive's men grabbed 7th (14-8 overall) as Limestone took the 8th position (14-6 overall).

The women’s side had two Conference Carolinas teams make the list as Belmont Abbey took the 8th slot (17-7 overall) with Limestone following right behind in the 9th (15-5 overall).

Each region sends eight teams from both the men’s and women’s side to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Southeast region has three automatic qualifying teams (one from each conference) leaving five at-large bids up for grabs.

The NCAA will release two more rankings with the final announcement being released on March 9th.
