High Point, NC – Limestone College women’s golf has been selected by the league coaches to repeat as Conference Carolinas Champions as announced in the 2015 Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf preseason poll. Head Coach Zack Siefert brings back a star-studded group that is headlined by last season’s Conference Freshman of the Year, Brittany LaPadula.

Also returning from the 2013 Championship team is Second-Team All-Conference members in juniors Hannah Luckett and Taylor McInnis as well as Third-Team selection sophomore Sydney Landreth. Sophomore Noelia Cortes and freshman Claire Page round out a formidable lineup that won last season’s Conference Tournament by an astounding 31 strokes.

The Saints have already completed three top-five finishes as they competed against the top teams in ever-stout South/Southeast Region. LaPadula, Luckett and Landreth are all averaging a 79 or lower to lead the Blue and Gold during their fall portion of their schedule.

Converse is coming off its best season in its short existence and continues to be on the upswing coming out of the fall season and ranked second in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Valkyries placed in the top-three in all but one match, grabbing two top finishes. Converse has ascended to a #39 Golfstat ranking, the highest in program history.

Freshman Maddisen Cox leads the Valkyries. Cox finished the fall slate with a 76 average and carded the lowest round in program history, 70 (-2). Marley Felthousen and Miranda Juarez finished in the top three on the team as well. Juarez notched All-Conference honors last season.

Selected to finish third, Mount Olive returns three golfers from the 2013-14 Conference Carolinas runner-up team. In the fall season the team has finished as high as third through four tournaments. Julie Loennechen won the 2014 Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate after she carded a 2-under-par victory. Loennechen is also a Conference Carolinas Women’s Golfer of the Week.
