Belmont Abbey's Philp Named Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey forward Meghan Philp has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 5 - Oct. 11, the conference announced today.

A senior from Houma, La., Philp led the Crusaders to a 3-0 week after tallying three goals and one assist for seven points. Against Converse on Oct. 5, she found the back of the net twice and dished out her lone helper of the week for a five-point performance in a 5-1 win. After being held scoreless two days later in the team’s 1-0 win over Lees-McRae, Philp would net her third goal of the week in a 4-1 rout of Pfeiffer on Oct. 10.
