Limestone's Machado Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone midfielder Gui Machado has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 12 - Oct. 18, the conference announced today.

Machado, a junior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, led the Saints to a dominant 2-0 record last week behind his nine points on four goals and one assist. In a 6-0 win over King on Oct. 14, Machado notched his second first-half hat-trick of the season, scoring all three goals within the first 17 minutes of action, and adding an assist later in the half. For an encore, Machado would score the go-ahead goal in the Saints' 3-1 win over Barton three days later.

Machado currently ranks third in both points (27) and goals (12) of the Conference Carolinas statistical standings. The award is Machado's second player of the week this season.
