Barton's Pingyin Named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Stephanie Pingyin, an outside hitter from Barton College, was named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played during the week of Sept. 28 – Oct. 4, the conference announced today.
The sophomore from Christchurch, New Zealand, had a great week against Coker College, Belmont Abbey College, and Pfeiffer University. She finished the week with 56 kills, 20 digs, eight blocks, and a hitting percentage of .312.
Against the Cobras, Pingyin finished with a double-double performance of 18 kills and 10 digs and added four blocks. In a 3-1 win over Belmont Abbey, she tallied 20 kills and dug six balls, while finishing with 18 kills and four digs in a 3-0 win against the Falcons of Pfeiffer.
After her impressive week, Pingyin continues to rank second in NCAA Division II with 4.92 kills per set and ninth in total kills (261).
