King's Willoughby Named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lauren Willoughby of King University has been named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played during the week of Nov. 1 - Nov. 8, the conference announced today.

The Cary, N.C. native dominated the floor with two stellar matches, giving King the edge to the North Division crown. She averaged 4.63 kills, 3.38 digs per set, and hit .278, for the week.
The senior outside hitter posted career highs with 26 kills and 16 digs, while hitting .270 on 63 attempts in the 3-2 come-from-behind victory against Barton on Friday, Nov. 6. In the fifth set, Willoughby accounted for five straight kills while trailing Barton, 14-10. Her play would lead the Tornado to a 16-14 set win. A day later against Mount Olive, she tallied her 11th double-double of the season, going for 11 kills and 11 digs.



Willoughby currently ranks fourth in Conference Carolinas in kills (349) and third in service aces (40).
