Limestone's Kearse Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Jasmine Kearse has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played the first week of the season, the conference announced today.
A junior from St. Augustine, Fla., Kearse paced the No. 12 Saints to a pair of wins over Coker and Newberry in the Conference Carolinas/South Atlantic Conference Challenge. In the two games Kearse averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game.
In a 94-55 blowout of Coker on Nov. 13, Kearse filled the stat sheet with 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in only 28 minutes of action. A day later against Newberry, Kearse would go off for 31 points, five rebounds and four steals in 37 minutes to lead the Saints to a 56-41 win.
