King's Good Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University guard C.J. Good has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played the first week of the season, the conference announced today.
Good, a junior from Johnson City, Tenn., led the Tornado to a 2-0 record over the weekend in the Conference Carolinas/South Atlantic Conference Challenge, which included an opening season win over No. 5 Lincoln Memorial. In the two victories, Good shot 63.6-percent from the field, 64.7-percent from three-point range, and averaged 19.5 points and 2.5 assists per game.
On Nov. 13 against No. 5 Lincoln Memorial, Good poured in 22 points in 32 minutes of action. He would go 8-for-10, including 6-for-7 from three, in the Tornado's 83-69 upset victory over the Railsplitters. As an encore, Good would continue his hot shooting against Tusculum, as he went 6-for-12 from the field and 5-for-10 from beyond the arc for 17 points, four assists and two rebounds in a 93-82 King victory.
