Pfeiffer's Galvao Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer midfielder Martim Galvao has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 26 - Nov. 1, the conference announced today.

Galvao, a sophomore from Lisbon, Portugal, was the driving force behind the No. 1 Falcons going 2-0 last week and running the table during the 2015 season. The dynamic playmaker finished the week with six points on four assists and one goal. In a non-conference match against Catawba on Oct. 28, Galvao tallied his lone goal of the week and added an assist to lead the Falcons to a 4-1 win. Three days later, Galvao would find teammates on three occasions to tally three assists and help preserve an undefeated season with a 4-1 win over Southern Wesleyan.

Martim's play was instrumental in leading the Falcons to the 2015 Conference Carolinas regular title and No. 1 seed in the upcoming Men's Soccer Championship. He currently ranks first in Conference Carolinas with 14 assists, while ranking fifth in points (26) and 10th in goals (6).
