King University Ranked Ninth in D2SIDA Media Poll

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The King Tornado have earned a spot in the top 10 of the Men's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, it was announced today. The Tornado moved up nine spots from last week and is now ranked No. 9.

King moved to 4-0 on the young season after picking up a pair of wins last week over Lander and Young Harris. The Tornado would defeat Lander 69-64, while handling Young Harris soundly 86-76.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College and Southern Wesleyan University are currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
