Erskine's Dodge Named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Kristen Dodge of Erskine has been named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played during the week of Oct. 26 – Nov. 1, the conference announced today.
The Duncan, S.C. native had a tremendous week for the Flying Fleet, leading the team to a 2-0 week after registering 76 assists, 26 digs and 13 kills.
The junior setter got her week off to a solid start as she finished a 3-0 sweep of Mount Olive with a double-double performance of 28 assists and 13 digs with five kills. Her encore performance would come a day later on Oct. 31 against then North Division-leading Barton College. In the 3-2 win over the Bulldogs, Dodge would come two kills short of a triple-double as she finished the match with eight kills to go along with 48 assists and 13 digs.
Dodge currently ranks 32nd in NCAA Division II with 10.55 assists per set, which is third-most in Conference Carolinas, while her 844 total assists ranks fifth in the conference.
