Pair of Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Players Land on D2CCA All-Southeast Region Team
HIGH POINT, N.C. - A pair of Conference Carolinas women's soccer players were named to the 2015 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region team, the association announced today. King University's Hulda Sigurdardottir was named to the first team, while Belmont Abbey College's Meghan Philp received second team honors.
Sigurdardottir, the 2015 Conference Carolinas offensive player of the year, ranked fifth in the conference in points (30), goals (12) and assists (6). As a first team selection, Sigurdardottir becomes eligible for All-America consideration.
Philp, a 2015 first team all-conference selection, finished the year third in points (31) on a league fourth-best 14 goals and three assists.
