11 Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Players Earn D2CCA All-Region Honors; Pfeiffer's Regis Wins Player of the Year
BREVARD, N.C. - 11 Conference Carolinas men's soccer players were named to the 2015 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region team, the association announced today. Headlining the group was Pfeiffer University's Nathan Regis, who was named the Southeast Region Player of the Year.
Of the 11 players honored, six were named to the first team and five to the second team, with Pfeiffer leading the way with seven all-region selections. Limestone placed three on the teams, while Lees-McRae landed one.
In addition to Region Player of the Year, Regis was named a first team selection. Joining him on the first team were Pfeiffer teammates Cristobal Allendes, Martim Galvao and Jaime Siaj, while the Limestone duo of Harry Cooksley and Gui Machado rounded out the first team honorees.
The second team was made up of three more Falcons, as Tomas Correa, Dani Siaj and Santi Moar received honors. Lees-McRae's James Abraham and Limestone's Lalaina Randriamanantena would conclude the Conference Carolinas selections.
First team selections are now eligible for All-America considerations. Below are the Conference Carolinas selections with their season stats in parenthesis.
