Limestone College's Martinez Named NSCAA Scholar All-America

NSCAA Scholar All-America Team Release

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College women's soccer player Mariette Martinez was recognized as a 2015 NCAA Division I and Division II Women's Scholar All-America Team selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Thursday.

Martinez was named to the first team by the NSCAA, which marks her second All-America selection by the association. She was named a second team All-America earlier this year after her stellar senior campaign.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recognized select collegiate student-athletes as 2015 NSCAA Scholar All-Americans for their dual accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.

To be named to a Scholar All-America Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team.
