Lees-McRae's Anderson Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College guard Austin Anderson has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Nov. 30 - Dec. 6, the conference announced today.

A senior from Anderson, S.C., Anderson led Lees-McRae to a 2-0 week, which included a 90-77 win over Belmont Abbey College and 76-72 win over Pfeiffer University. The guard averaged 23.5 points, six rebounds and six assists in the two games.

Against Belmont Abbey on Wednesday, Dec. 2, Anderson dropped 23 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including three triples, and added six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Three days later on Dec. 5, Anderson would knock down three more triples and go 8-of-16 overall from the field en route to 24 points, six rebounds and seven helpers in Lees-McRae's fourth straight victory.

Anderson currently ranks fifth in Conference Carolinas with 16.8 points per game and sixth in assists per game with 3.6.
