Four Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Players Earn D2CCA All-America Honors; Pfeiffer's Regis Wins National Player of the Year
BREVARD, N.C. - Four Conference Carolinas men's soccer players were named to the 2015 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-America team, the association announced today.
Headlining the group was Pfeiffer University's Nathan Regis, who was named the Ron Lenz National Player of the Year, as well as a first team All-America. Joining him on the first team were teammates Cristobal Allendes and Martim Galvao, while Jaime Siaj was named an honorable mention.
Regis led the nation in points (71), goals (32) and goals per game (1.28) on his way to National Player of the Year honors. Galvao was the mastermind in the midfield for the Falcons as he finished the season with 38 points on a nation-leading 20 assists and nine goals.
Allendes compiled eight points on four goals and was the leader of a defense that posted 13 shutouts and only allowed 18 goals in 2015. Siaj finished eighth in the nation with 17 goals and 10th with 41 total points.
