Barton's Pingyin Named Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week
Barton outside hitter Stephanie Pingyin has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 7-13, the conference announced today.
A sophomore transfer from Christchurch, New Zealand, Pingyin led the Bulldogs to a 3-2 record during the week. During the five-game span she buried 79 kills, dug 43 balls and compiled two double-double performances. She began the week with a double-double of 17 kills and 15 digs in a 3-0 win over Chowan University. Two days later, she register 28 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 win over Emmanuel (Ga.) and 16 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 loss to Lee University. She would close out her week with six kills and four digs in a 3-0 win over Union (Tenn.) University and 12 kills and four digs in a 3-0 loss to Campbellsville University.
