King's Sanford and Ballowe Named Conference Carolinas Women's and Men's Runners of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – King’s Hannah Sanford and James Russell Ballowe have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the conference announced today.

A sophomore from Canton, Ga., Sanford ran a personal best of 23:50.09 en route to a 58th-place finish at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invite 6K. The event featured 11 Division I teams out of 13, which she helped pace the Tornado to an 11th-place finish.

Ballowe, a sophomore from Roseland, Va., competed in the Virginia Tech Alumni Invite 8K and led the Tornado to a 11th-place finish in the loaded DI field. He ran a personal best of 26:36.28, which garnered him a 78th-place finish.
