Limestone's Machado Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone midfielder Gui Machado has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 21-27, the conference announced today.

Machado, a junior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, led the No. 12 Saints to an impressive 2-0 week after posting four goals for eight points. Machado would kick the week off with a hat-trick, with all three goals coming in the first 21 minutes, in Limestone's 5-1 victory over Lees-McRae on Sept. 23. Two days later, he would notch his second game-winner of the week when he found the back of the net in the 36th minute against North Greenville. The Saints would go on to win the match 3-0 over the Crusaders.

Machado currently ranks first in Conference Carolinas with three game-winning goals, while ranking third in goals (6) and 10th in assists (2).
