Limestone's Machado Named NSCAA Division II Men's College Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, MO. – Limestone junior midfielder Gui Machado has been named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Men's College Player of the Week, the association announce Tuesday.
Machado led the No. 9 Limestone Saints to a 2-0 week, which included a 5-1 win over Lees-McRae and 3-0 win over North Greenville. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native tallied four goals on the week. He scored a hat-trick in 21 minutes against Lees-McRae and followed it with a goal in the win over North Greenville.
He was tabbed the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week and currently ranks third in the conference in points (14) and goals (6).

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan. Emmanuel College and Southern Wesleyan University are currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
