Limestone and Pfeiffer Ranked in Latest NSCAA Division II National Poll

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Limestone Saints and Pfeiffer Falcons made a splash in the NSCAA Division II Men's Soccer National Poll on Tuesday. The Saints moved up to No. 8 in the rankings, while the Falcons cracked the top 25 at No. 25.

Limestone is off to a 2-0 start on the young season after two trilling wins over the opening weekend. The Saints overcame a 3-1 deficit to beat Queens University of Charlotte on opening night, and capped the weekend off with an 2-1 overtime victory over Mars Hill on Sunday.

Pfeiffer is also 2-0 on the season, with wins over Newberry and Flagler. The Falcons routed the Wolves 6-0 and turned around and knocked off the Saints of Flagler, 4-3, in a double-overtime contest.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-Mcrae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan. Emmanuel College and Southern Wesleyan University are currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
