Limestone's Kearse Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Jasmine Kearse has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 4-10, the conference announced today.
Kearse, a junior from St. Augustine, Fla., continued her impressive play this season by averaging 24.3 points, four rebounds, four assists and 2.7 steals in the No. 10 Saints three wins last week.
In a 83-68 rout of Lees-McRae on Jan. 5, Kearse tied a school record after pouring in a career-high 44 points. She would add three rebounds and five steals to her game totals. She would follow her performance up with 14 points, five boards and five assists in the Saints' 86-60 win over Mount Olive on Jan. 8. The following day against Barton, Kearse would drop 15 points and dish six assists to close out the week with a 95-33 win.
Kearse ranks first in Conference Carolinas with 21.8 points per game, total steals (44) and made three-point FG (53).
