Limestone College's Ross and Drones Named Conference Carolinas Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Limestone College duo of Jonathan Ross and Kylon Drones have been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, the conference announced today.

Hailing from Rex, Ga., Ross was named the track athlete of the week after earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships after posting two top five finishes for the Saints at the Clemson Orange and Purple Classic. The sophomore got his first top five finish with a fourth-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.84 seconds, which earned him a trip to the NCAA Championships. He added to his top five finishes by coming in fourth with a time of 22.14 seconds in the 200m dash.

Drones, a sophomore from Woodstock, Ga., was named the field athlete of the week after turning in a top three finish at the Clemson Orange and Purple Classic. He finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.15m, which surpassed the Saints' old program record of 4m.
