King's LeVeau Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – King University forward Hunter LeVeau has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 11-17, the conference announced today.
LeVeau, a junior from Johnson City, Tenn., was a dead-eye shooter for the Tornado as they went 2-0 in conference play last week. The forward shot 51.9 percent from the field, including 50 percent from three-point land, while averaging 22 points, six rebounds, four assists and 2.5 steals per game.
In a 12-point win against North Greenville on Jan. 13, LeVeau went 7-for-14 from the field and 5-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points. He would add four boards and two assists to his game totals. In only 21 minutes against Erskine on Jan. 16, LeVeau turned in another 5-for-10 performance from three-point range and 7-for 13 overall from the field for 21 points and added eight boards, six assists and four steals.
LeVeau averages 16.9 points per game which ranks sixth in Conference Carolinas, while ranking second in three-point makes (56) and third in total steals (30).
