Belmont Abbey's Albrecht Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College outside hitter Nolan Albrecht has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 18-24, the conference announced today.

Albrecht, a senior from Naperville, Ill., led Belmont Abbey to a pair of 3-0 wins against St. Andrews University and Emmanuel (Ga.) to open the season. In the two matches he tallied 23 kills for a 5.75 kills per set average and stellar .595 hitting percentage.

In just one set of action against St. Andrews, Albrecht would put away four kills on four attacks and add three digs. Against the Lions, Albrecht would put down 19 kills on 33 attacks with just one error and added four digs and a block in the three-set victory.

Also nominated for Men's Volleyball Player of the Week: Pierre Tang-Taye (Barton) and Harrison Lutz (Pfeiffer)
