Mount Olive's Brite Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive guard Dontrell Brite has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 18-24, the conference announced today.
A senior from Chesapeake, Va., Brite led Mount Olive to a 92-76 win over King on Jan. 19 with a near triple-double. He posted 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting and 5-for-7 from three-point land with eight rebounds and seven assists in the win.
Brite's 18.4 points per game ranks second in Conference Carolinas, while his 68 assists and 27 steals rank third and fifth, respectively.
