Mount Olive's Rendon-Alcala and Greyno Named Conference Carolinas Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive duo of Guillermo Rendon-Alcala and Nick Greyno have been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, the conference announced today.
A freshman, Rendon-Alcala picked up two wins and set two Mount Olive records with his performances at the Winston-Salem D2 Invitational. In the 60m dash, Rendon-Alcala would post a first-place finish and UMO record with a time of 7.07 seconds. He followed that up with a time of 22.89 seconds in the 200m for another win and UMO record.
A junior, Greyno placed fifth in the weight throw at the Winston-Salem D2 Invitational and set a Mount Olive record in the process. His distance of 15.62m was good enough to set a new UMO record.
