Two Conference Carolinas Women's Lacrosse Teams Ranked in National Preseason Poll

BALTIMORE, MD. – The University of Mount Olive Trojans and Limestone College Saints each enter 2016 ranked in the Top 15 nationally, it was announced today. According to the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division II Women's Preseason Top 15, the Trojans are No. 13 in the land, while the Saints are ranked No. 14.

Mount Olive captured its first-ever Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship last season by knocking off the Saints in double-overtime of the conference finals. The Trojans wrapped up 2015 with a 15-3 overall record and 7-1 conference mark.
 
Limestone went 15-3 overall in 2015, which included a Conference Carolinas regular season title with an 8-0 conference record.



Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College and Southern Wesleyan University are currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
