Southern Wesleyan's Taylor Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan University forward Christian Taylor has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 17-23, the Conference announced today.

Taylor, a senior from Cortagena, Colombia, led the Warriors to a pair of Conference Carolinas wins and moved them up to fourth in the standings after netting two goals on the week.

In a 3-1 win over King, Taylor would only need one shot to score his one goal. The same would be the case in the Warriors' 2-1 win over North Greenville, as Taylor rocketed one shot for his goal.

Taylor ranks seventh in the Conference in goals (8) and ranks 10th in points (17).

Also nominated for Men's Soccer Player of the Week: Jens Madsen Hordvik (Barton), Nick Bernsdorf (Mount Olive), Gui Machado (Limestone), Mateo Garces Yepes (Pfeiffer) & Eli Carrasco (King)
