Limestone's O'Connor Named NSCAA Division II Women's College Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, MO. – Limestone sophomore forward Megan O'Connor has been named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Women's College Player of the Week, the association announced Tuesday.
A sophomore sensation from Mt. Pleasant, S.C., O'Connor garnered national player of the week honors after leading the then-No. 18 Saints to 2-0 week. The striker scored three goals, adding two more game-winners to her Division II-leading total (8), while also netting the fastest goal in Limestone College history and 11th-fastest in Division II history.
O'Connor would lead the Saints to a share of their first Conference Carolinas regular season title after netting a goal in the team's 3-0 win over Emmanuel. In a 3-0 win over Chowan, O'Connor made a little Limestone history, finding the back of the net just 14 seconds into the contest. She would add an insurance goal later in the match.
O'Connor ranks first in Conference Carolinas in points (33), goals (16) and game-winning goals (8).

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College is currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
