Southern Wesleyan's Herszenhaut Named Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan University midfielder Michel Herszenhaut has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 26 - Oct. 2, the Conference announced today.

A senior from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Herszenhaut found the back of the net three times last week for six points. The striker would lead the Warriors to a 2-0 record with wins over Newberry and Belmont Abbey.

In a 4-2 win over the Wolves, Herszenhaut put away two goals, including the game-winner. He would follow that performance up with one goal in a 2-1 conference win over the Crusaders.

Herszenhaut ranks seventh in Conference Carolinas in goals (5) and 10th in points (11). He also is the first Southern Wesleyan University student-athlete to be named a Conference Carolinas Player of the Week.
