Limestone's Malone and King's Cook Named Conference Carolinas Runners of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College's Allyson Malone and King University's Tanner Cook have been named the Conference Carolinas Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the conference announced today.
A sophomore from Athens, Ohio, Malone had a strong showing for the Saints, placing 18th overall at the USC Upstate Invitational. She would run the 5K race in 18:48.66, which was the fourth best time out of Division II racers.
Cook, a senior from Abingdon, Va., set a personal record with a time of 25:21.22 to place 10th out of 358 runners at the Greater Louisville Classic. Cook's time would lead the Tornado to a 23rd-place team finish out of 41 teams.
