Pfeiffer's Clark Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University guard A.J. Clark has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 11-13, the Conference announced today.
Clark, a senior from Burlington, N.C., led the Falcons to a 2-0 record over the weekend in the Conference Carolinas/Peach Belt Conference Challenge. In the two victories, Clark averaged 23.5 points and four assists per game.
Against Georgia College, Clark poured in 23 points, with 17 coming in the second half, to lead Pfeiffer to an 87-81 victory. As an encore, Clark would continue his hot scoring against North Georgia, as he dropped 24 points and dished out five assists in a 93-86 win.
Also nominated for Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Shaq Dance (Limestone), Darius Sharpe (Southern Wesleyan) and Deion Lane (Belmont Abbey College).
