North Greenville's Donehew Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – North Greenville University forward Karen Donehew has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 14-20, the Conference announced today.

Donehew, a freshman from Knoxville, Tenn., averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and two steals to lead the Crusaders to a pair of wins last week.

In a 67-55 win over Mars Hill, Donehew would score a then career high 19 points while pulling down eight boards and collecting two steals and three blocks. She would follow that performance up with a career high 20 points with five rebounds two steals and two blocks in an 85-53 blowout of Bob Jones.

Donehew ranks second in Conference Carolinas with 17.3 points and 1.8 blocks per game.

Also nominated for Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Breanna Richardson (Southern Wesleyan) and Keidra Smith (Limestone).
