Limestone's Stewart Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College guard Shaun Stewart has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 14-20, the Conference announced today.
A senior from Indian Trail, N.C., Stewart led the Saints to a pair of wins over South Atlantic Conference opponents by averaging 23.5 points and 6.5 rebounds, while shooting 51.6 percent from the field.
Against Coker, Stewart would post 16 points and six rebounds to go along with two assists and one steal to pace the Saints to a 76-75 win. Stewart's best performance would come against Anderson (S.C.) in a 77-69 victory. He would dropped 31 points on 11-for-18 shooting, including 4-for-7 from three-point range and 5-for-6 from the charity stripe, and would add seven boards and two steals to his game totals.
Stewart ranks eighth in Conference Carolinas with a 17.3 points per game average.
