Erskine's Espinosa Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College guard Ashley Espinosa has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 5-11, the Conference announced today.
A junior hailing from Reading, Pa., Espinosa had a monster game for the Fleet following final exams last week. She would score 22 points, pull down nine boards, nab six steals and dish out four assists to lead Erskine to an 86-67 win over Belmont Abbey.
Espinosa ranks sixth in Conference Carolinas with 17 total steals, while her 12 points per game ranks 18th.
