Limestone and Mount Olive Appear in IWLCA Preseason Poll

GRAND LAKE, COLO. – The Limestone College Saints and University of Mount Olive Trojans each received top 20 rankings in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) preseason poll, it was announced today.
The Saints were tabbed No. 11 by the IWLCA after going 15-3 overall in 2015, which included a Conference Carolinas regular season title with an 8-0 conference record. Limestone was picked to win the 2016 Conference Carolinas championship over the Trojans.
Mount Olive, who was picked to finish second in Conference Carolinas this season, enters 2016 ranked No. 12 by the IWLCA. The Trojans won their first-ever Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship in 2015 with a 15-3 overall record and 7-1 conference mark.
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 12 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Emmanuel College and Southern Wesleyan University are currently completing the NCAA Membership Process and will be fully competing in league championships in the near future.
