Erskine's Lock Named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College forward Ray Lock has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 25-31, the conference announced today.
A sophomore from Aiken, S.C., Lock averaged 26.3 points, including two 30-point outings, and shot 67.4 percent from the field and 62.5 from three-point range to lead the Flying Fleet to a 3-0 week.
Lock's lowest scoring game of the week would come in a 67-66 win over Lees-McRae, which he posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards. In a 79-71 win over Pfeiffer, Lock would torch the Falcons for 31 points on 11-for-17 shooting (7-11 3pt) and swat away two shots. In an encore, Lock would score 30 points in a 77-64 win over Belmont Abbey, shooting 11-for-14 from the field with three three-pointers.
Lock is shooting 52.1 percent from the field and averaging 15.2 points per game, which ranks seventh and 11th in Conference Carolinas, respectively.
