Barton's Jackson Named Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Barton College guard Tatyana Jackson has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 15-21, the conference announced today.

A sophomore from Wake Forest, N.C., Jackson averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week and extend their winning streak to four games.

Jackson would post 15 points and five rebounds in a 76-68 win over Southern Wesleyan, which she shot 5-for-8 from the field, including 4-for-6 from three-point range. She would follow that performance up with an 18-point outing on 6-for-9 shooting (6-for-8 3pt) in a 75-67 win over Belmont Abbey. Jackson would add four boards and four assists to her game totals.

Jackson currently ranks fourth in Conference Carolinas in three-point percentage (41.9) and fifth in total assists (101).
