Erskine's Gullino Named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College's Paola Gullino was named Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 15-21, the conference announced today.

A freshman from Italy, Gullino went 2-0 in both singles and doubles to pace the Flying Fleet to a 2-0 week in Conference Carolinas play last week. In doubles play, she teamed with Sarah McDonald to pick up an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles against Barton and followed it up with a 7-5, 6-0 straight-set win at No. 2 singles. Gullino and McDonald would then post an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles against Mount Olive. In singles action, Gullino would win 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 2 flight against the Trojans.
