Limestone's Messenger Named Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Limestone College midfielder Mike Messenger has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 22-28, the conference announced today.

A senior from Surry, British Columbia, Messenger dominated in No. 1 Limestone's 25-7 rout of No. 4 University of Tampa last weekend. The midfielder posted a career-highs with 10 points and eight goals in the win while scooping up five ground balls and causing a turnover. His eight goals were the most scored by a Saint in the last nine years, while his point total was the most in a game since 2012.

Messenger ranks third in Conference Carolinas with 13 goals and eighth in points with 15.

Also nominated for Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week: Ben Austin (Pfeiffer), Jalen Bell (North Greenville), Alex Proly (North Greenville) and Adam Wiedemann (Belmont Abbey)
