Erskine's Perez Vargas Named Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Erskine College outside hitter Roberto Perez Vargas has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 1-7, the conference announced today.
A junior from Dorado, Puerto Rico, Perez Vargas turned in a solid week for the Flying Fleet averaging 4.17 kills per set on a .500 hitting percentage. The Flying Fleet produced two straight-set victories over Lees-McRae and North Greenville thanks to his stellar play.
Against Lees-McRae, Perez Vargas would put away 12 kills on .667 hitting to go along with seven digs and two service aces. He followed that performance up with 13 kills, three digs, three blocks and one service ace over North Greenville.
